Scorpion EXO-Tech EVO Furio White/Red/Blue

The Scorpion EXO-Tech EVO is a modular helmet for all kinds of riders. This model is made by Scorpion, a well-known helmet brand from South Korea. This helmet is the new version of the old EXO-Tech. The EVO version is now safer because its ECE22.06-certified.

This is a modular helmet, and the chin bar can be put all the way behind the shell. That means you can use it in two ways. You can use it as a full-face helmet or flip the front part up and use it as an open-face helmet.

Material

The Scorpion EXO-Tech-EVO is made of polycarbonate. This is a strong type of plastic and helps keep your head safe during an accident. Even though the helmet is strong, the helmet is not too heavy. The EXO-Tech EVO weighs around 1800 grams. This is great for reducing neck fatigue during longer rides.

Visor

This polycarbonate helmet has a clear visor which gives you a wide field of view, so you can see a lot of the road. The visor is scratch resistant, meaning your vision will stay clear. Adiditonally, the visor blocks UV rays making the visor last longer.

The helmet also has an integrated sun visor. This means you don’t need to wear sunglasses inside the helmet. The visor mechanis, is made to be quiet and pulls the visor close to the helmet. This helps stop wind from getting in and making noise.

The visor is also Pinlock prepared. There is a pinlock included in the box which helps prevent visor condensation especially in cold weather. This visor is also gloves-friendly meaning you don’t have to take them off if you want to adjust the visor.

Comfort

The inner liner of the helmet is very soft and nice to wear. This inner liner is called KwikWick 3 which is soft, dries fast, and stays fresh. The cheek pads and crown pad are removable and washable. This helps keep the helmet clean and fresh over time.

This helmet is glasses-friendly meaning that your glasses will not put pressure on your head while wearing glasses. There is a chin curtain at the bottom of the helmet. This helps stop wind from coming in and reduces noise while riding. The helmet has a micrometric closure. This is a small strap that you can open and close quickly.  The helmet is also prepared for a communication system. That means you can put speakers or Bluetooth systems inside. This lets you talk to other riders, use GPS, or listen to music while you ride.

Ventilation

This helmet has good airflow to keep you cool. There is one chin vent that brings fresh air to your face and also helps stop the visor from fogging up. There is one top vent which brings air to the top of your head.

Inside, the helmet has an EPS shell with air channels helping cool air to flow through the helmet. This is great for riders who love hot summer rides without getting too hot.
